Hot Pot has been a staple in China and Sichuan for over a thousand years and most people in Sichuan eat it at least once a week. Sichuan Hot Pot is best known for the complex layer of flavors in the broth, rich fats, doubanjiang for umami, chili oil, and many spices and herbs.

When you cook your meat, tofu, veggies in the broth, sometimes you want to make the flavor even MORE complex. Enter a hot pot dipping sauce. DIY your own hot pot dipping sauce by mixing 1 Tbsp soy sauce, 1 Tbsp Fly By Jing Sichuan Chili Crisp, 1 Tbsp peanut butter, and 1 Tbsp grated garlic.

Is this safe to put in the dishwasher? Make sure the Hot Pot is completely cool to the touch before cleaning. Only hold it by the handles to not get burned. DON’T GET ELECTROCUTED! To safely clean the appliance, pull the main plug out of the socket, and remove the silver cooking pot from the red heating plate. Never submerge the red body of the heating appliance in water and don’t place it in the dishwasher! To clean the red heating appliance body, wipe with a clean cloth sprayed with cleaning solution.
